The Parish Council acts as a representative voice of the people of God to the Pastor. The Council shall provide an open and honest forum of communication and dialogue regarding parish affairs among the Pastor and the laity. The Council shall assist the Pastor in the administration of the Parish through recommendation and active cooperation. The Council shall continually survey both the spiritual and temporal needs of the Parish, the community and the Diocese and shall develop programs aimed at fulfilling those needs. The Council shall encourage coordination and mutual assistance in the practical working out of the programs of the various Parish organizations.
