About the Gala
Guardian Angels Catholic Church will commemorate serving its Parishioners and the greater Santee Community by hosting the Guardian Angels Sixtieth Anniversary Gala & Fundraiser. The semi-formal event will be held on June 18, 2022, at Cathedral Catholic High School Theater in Carmel Valley. Proceeds from the Gala will benefit the Blessed Carlo Acutis Youth and Young Adult Building being built on the back lot of the church property.
Enjoy tray passed and stationary appetizers while perusing the Silent Auction Items, or meet and visit with San Diego legend, “Shotgun Tom” Kelly before having a commemorative photo taken at the
StrikeAPosePod.com display. First course features a pear and spring garden salad, and will then move on to a plate of filet mignon and chicken marsala over a bed of red skinned whipped potatoes, garnished with asparagus spears. Dessert will be one of our “naked” cakes with flavors of champagne with fresh raspberries, decadent chocolate and moist carrot cake.
A live auction will commence after dinner with only a couple of specialty items before dancing the night away to the sought after live band “Republic of Music”.

About the Beneficiary
Blessed Carlo Acutis Youth & Young Adult Building at Guardian Angels Catholic Church: The building’s namesake is the millennial Saint, Blessed Carlo Acutis, who created and designed the International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles. Sadly, Carlo passed away from leukemia at the age of 15 in 2006. The building committee felt it appropriate to name the building after Blessed Acutis, since the building will serve high school and young adults, providing an environment to meet, pray, do homework, plan worship events, as well as serve other ministries of the church.
Estimated completion date of the building is Summer of 2022.
Thank you to our Gala Sponsors!
