The Italian Catholic Federation is a National Roman Catholic Fraternal Organization composed primarily of persons of Italian ancestry (including their non-Italian spouses) who are of the Roman Catholic Faith. Membership is available to all Catholics. There are many members who are not of Italian ethnicity or descent but who share the ideals of the ICF and respect the heritage of its founders.
One of the many programs of local Guardian Angels Branch 449 is to award two (2) $750 scholarships to further the education of students who achieve a total cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (3 1/2 years) and are Roman Catholic and are active in their parish and live within the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego.
All applications received by the April 22 deadline will be evaluated by the ICF Branch 449 Scholarship Committee and then two (2) recipients will be chosen from all of the applications received.
The scholarship committee will evaluate the following criteria:
• Scholastic Achievement – Total cumulative GPA (3.5 yrs.) of at least a 3.0
(Copy of unofficial transcript required)
• List of Extracurricular Activities/Volunteer Work/Service Hours/Employment (see attachment)
• Copy of admittance or enrollment confirmation in continuing education is required to receive the check.
• Essay 250-500 words

• Recommendation from Campus Counselor(s) (ICF Internal resource if needed)
Application Opens: February 28, 2024
Application Closes: Monday, April 22, 2024 – Midnight* (*Emailed to the address below)
